N Ayrshire (Siorrachd Inbhir Àir the Tuath around Gaelic) is one of 32 unitary council regions inside Scotland. A mainland part of it lies in the traditional county of Ayrshire, and borders onto a regions of Renfrewshire, East Ayrshire, and South Ayrshire. It too contains a Isle of Arran (in the traditional county of Buteshire) and another islands of the moo Firth of Clyde, including Great Cumbrae and Little Cumbrae.
